01 What Is the Difference Between Double Wall and Triple Wall Corrugated Boxes?
Double wall board has two fluted layers between three flat liners. Triple wall adds a third fluted layer for even heavier loads, but it costs more and weighs more. Most heavy items fit double wall, so tell us the weight, and we’ll recommend one.
02 What Flute Types Are Used in Double Wall Corrugated Boxes?
Double wall board combines two flute types, and BC flute is a common pairing. B flute adds crush resistance and a good printing surface, while C flute adds stacking strength. Tell us your product and route, and we’ll recommend a combination.
03 What Do ECT and Burst Strength Ratings Mean?
ECT (edge crush test) shows how much stacking pressure the board can take. Burst strength shows how much pressure it takes to rupture the board. Tell us your product weight and stack height, and we’ll recommend a grade.
04 How Do I Choose the Right Strength for My Shipment?
It depends on product weight, box size, stacking height, and shipping distance. Heavier products and longer routes need a higher rating. Send us those details, and we’ll match the board to them.
05 Are Double Wall Corrugated Boxes Good for Warehouse Storage and Stacking?
Yes. The extra fluted layer helps boxes hold their shape when stacked on pallets or shelves. Corrugated board loses strength when it gets damp, so store boxes in a dry area, and tell us your stack height.
06 How Do Double Wall Boxes Handle Moisture and Humidity?
Plain corrugated weakens in humid or wet conditions. A water-resistant coating can help, though it won’t make the box waterproof. Tell us the storage or shipping conditions, and we’ll recommend a coating.
07 Can I Add Dividers or Inserts Inside Double Wall Boxes?
Yes. Dividers and inserts keep items separated and stop them from knocking into each other, which helps with fragile products.
